The responsibilities of the Parish Council are many and varied and include the management and maintenance of local infrastructure such as play areas and village halls and, by being closer to the local community, can more easily meet local needs. Importantly the Parish Council is also entitled to be consulted on any planning applications that affect the village.
Boxted Parish Council consists of 9 Parish Councillors, who are responsible for administering a significant budget for the benefit of the local community.
The Chair of the Council will be elected at the May meeting.
Next Meeting
Parish Council meetings take place on the second Wednesday of every month, except for August and December.
